Aca Nexia supports Sky Accès in its first build-up by performing financial due diligence. In LBO with Axio Capital since 2015, the Ile-de-France specialist in the rental of motorized platforms for work at height is approaching XL Industries to train a group of 150 people and € 30 million in turnover.

Specializing in the rental of high-powered motorized platforms and associated services, the company gets its hands on the complementary businesses of XL Industries. The latter, based in Poissy, designs and builds tailor-made machines for motorized lifting equipment dedicated to the construction, renovation and dismantling of buildings markets. “This merger will allow the group to cover 100% of customer needs and bring the strength of the Sky Access network to XL Industries,” explains Laurent Tesson, founding partner of Axio Capital, touting the network of six agencies of the company (Nantes, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, Lille and Paris). The transaction, completed at the start of the year, is financed by senior debt contributed by Arkéa Banque E&I and Caisse d’Épargne.
Founded in 1999 by Xavier Lombard, XL Industries was, pre-operation, owned by the Lombard family and salaried executives. All of their securities are brought to the Global Access holding company, which also houses Sky Access. Created at the end of last year, the structure is majority owned by Axio Capital, in front of three Sky Accès executives. The new 150-strong group now generates nearly € 30 million in turnover (including € 20 million contributed by Sky Access). The management of Sky Acces having been completely renewed during its LBO, the company is now chaired by Dominique Bieuron. The latter becomes president of the Global Access holding company, while Romain Lombard, son of the founder of XL Industries and president of the company becomes managing director of the holding company. Positioning itself as a leader in a growing market, but impacted by the Covid-19 due to the closure of many construction sites, Sky Access retains an appetite for new acquisitions. “The ambition of Global Access is to develop in the high-altitude trades and associated services, by responding to the challenges and constraints of assembly, commissioning and after-sales service”, projects Laurent Tesson
